In Character

Cartman is the star of the hit cartoon show"South Park". If you have seen the show than you agree when i say, he's the reason that show is on the air. Cartman is the bad boy he has big impact on our culture because, in every society their is a black sheep. Someone to balane the scale on good and evil, cartman is that weight, he's the one thats always coming up with scheems to make money, or cause trouble. He's the devil in your ear, you know what he does is bad, but its so tempting and fun. Without people like Cartman life would be boring.
Richard Pryor is the voice for all people. He's the guy that talks about what other people are afraid to say. He talks about racism and statistics, he makes those rude but true comments about diffrent types of races/people. The facinating the about what he says, is how he says it. He makes people laugh and opens their eyes to real problems in the community at the same time. Even though he may say something in a joking way, he is dead seariuos about the message he sends with it. He a say something about the diffrence in how white people, and black people raise their children; its sad, but also true.

Stories

Stories are important to a child because, it develops a sence of imagination in the childs mind, also its fun to them. I think people read stories to kids to pass on their herritage or information about their ancestors, or to keep their minds occupied, theirs way more than one reason. Kids get a fun experience out of it, also a memory, and maybe a hero/ something they want to be like when they get older.
I think older people read to stay entertained, or gather certain information about something, they read for action. The readers get a good satisfying feeling, a feeling that they completed a goal. Older people learn what ever they want to learn, because older people have opinions about what they thought the story ment, but children go off of what they are told.
I remember stories from my grandfather (OC). I never read too much as a child, unless i had to, iremember him telling me stories about how much he loved me and all his other grandchildren. he would sit us on his lap, or make us gather around him and he'd sit and talk to us for hours at a time about whatever came to his mind, we'd sit thier and listen to his stories and smell the Seagrim Gen off his rugged beard.
A good character should have an interesting background, one that the reader could relate to, or feel for. If the character is boring the reader may not take much interest in the book. Take Harry Potter for example, he has a very interesting backround, and his past sets up for the rest of the story. Also a character should have ways off getting the readers attention, either it be by word use or physical actions, which ever way make sure to type it in a way the reader interprets it the way you intended them to. Another good characteristic is Drama, the character should have some sort of drama in his/her life, maybe even some Ssuspence, something to keep the audience on the edge of their seat, and guesing whats gonna happen next. All those Characteristics together in the right way, will gaurantee a great story every time!!!
